- What does Benincasa mean?
Benincasa is Italian for "good house" and is the last name of our Founder. She believes that shoes should be viewed like architecture, structures that are both functional and beautiful.
- Where are Benincasa shoes made?
Benincasa shoes are handmade in a luxury factory outside of Milan, Italy. They are made alongside some of the most premier luxury footwear brands in the world.
- Are your shoes fully custom?
No. We customize the insole of the shoe to help prevent ball of foot pain. The custom insert is removable, allowing for returns and exchanges.
- What are custom insoles?
Our patent-pending technology uses your individual foot imprint to create an insert that is made precisely for your feet. Because our bodies are unique, no two inserts are alike.
- How do the insoles work?
The insole is designed to make an adjustment to your feet to slow ball of foot pain over time. You know that burning sensation once you have worn your shoes for a few hours? The device is intended to slow that from building, allowing you to be on your feet for longer.
- Can you see the insoles inside the shoe?
Not really. We designed the insoles to be elegantly integrated into the shoe construction. See a side by side comparison here.
- Can I customize my shoes later?
Yes! Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we would be happy to customize your shoes when you decide.
- Can the insoles be removed from my shoes?
Yes. If you are not happy with the fit we would be happy to remove it or adjust them for you.
- How does the Fit Kit work?
Once you place a custom insert preorder, we will ship you a Benincasa Fit Kit with detailed instructions. The process takes less than 5 minutes and is very easy to complete. Return the Fit Kit with the shipping label provided.
- Why do I have to select a standard size?
The insoles of the shoes are customized, not the entire shoe. Therefore, our collection comes in standard sizes. Our hybrid-custom model allows for exchanges and faster delivery.
- Do you offer monogramming?
We offer complimentary monogramming on the outsoles of all of our shoes. Email us at email@example.com with your special monogramming request. All monogrammed orders are Final Sale.
SHIPPING & RETURNS
- What is your shipping policy?
We offer free ground shipping on all orders shipping to the contiguous United States. We do not ship with signature required.
- What is your return and exchange policy for Non-Custom items?
We accept returns of unused and unworn products within 14 days of delivery of your order. Orders can be exchanged for no additional cost. If you would like to return your order for a refund, we will charge a $10 shipping fee to the original payment method.
- What is your return and exchange policy for Custom items?
It is very important to us that you are satisfied with your custom order and we will do our best to accommodate requests. If you are not completely satisfied with your custom order, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Shoes with custom insoles can be exchanged or returned for store credit. The cost of return shipping will be deducted from the refund on returned items. All shoes must be returned in their original and unworn condition within 14 days of delivery.
